SourceGear is owned and managed by Eric Sink and Corey Steffen. Eric and Corey began working together in 1996 at Spyglass, developing the web browser that later became known as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Both have Computer Science degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

SourceGear Founder

Eric founded SourceGear in 1997, and was the chief architect behind SourceGear's flagship product, SourceGear Vault. He is a noted author in the software industry, having published “Eric Sink on the Business of Software”, and is a former Microsoft .NET MVP.

Corey Steffen

SourceGear Founder

Corey was the creator of SourceOffSite, a remote access solution for Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, and SourceGear's first product. He later led the Teamprise division, a suite of cross-platform client applications for Microsoft Visual Studio Team System, until it was acquired by Microsoft in 2009.
